Ahinjay Research

Our research team is focused on developing POC’s (proof of concept) of next generation user interface approaches, which can be converted for business use cases. We’ve succeeded in developing POC’s in through some conceptual foundations on Augmented Reality (Virtual Reality), Multi Touch Screen, and Mobile Platform.

Augumented Reality
Augmented reality (AR) is a term for a live direct or indirect view of a physical real-world environment whose elements are augmented by virtual computer-generated sensory input such as sound or graphics.

Our research team has studied various pattern recognition techniques, that help recognize patterns printed on a paper. To realize this, we’ve developed our company’s logo (link to ahinjay logo) as a pattern that can be recognized when shown infront of a webcamera. If you have a webcamera attached to your PC, you can test it live.

• Click here to download the pattern (link to pdf).
• Click here to see the application.

Multi Touch Devices
On touchscreen displays, multi-touch refers to the ability to simultaneously register three or more distinct positions of input touches. It is often used to describe other, more limited implementations, like Gesture-Enhanced Single-Touch or Dual-Touch.

Our research team has studied various approaches for developing multi touch gesture user interfaces. We’ve discovered few cost effective techniques that helps to develop multi touch hardware interfaces, by just using a webcamera. You can see our prototype in the below video.
